Find Certified, Verified Local Service Providers

GetLocalVerified is an independent directory of local service providers whose credentials have been confirmed against primary certification sources. Every listing is cross-checked directly with the issuing organization — NADCA for air duct cleaning technicians, CSIA and NCSG for chimney sweeps, ABVP and HRSA for exotic animal veterinarians, I-CAR for collision repair shops, and EVITP for EV charger electricians. State licensing boards are consulted where applicable. No listing pays to appear here, and ranking order is not influenced by advertising relationships of any kind.

Certification fraud is more common in home services than most consumers realize. Contractors routinely claim credentials they do not hold, display outdated certificates, or misrepresent the scope of their certification. A NADCA member badge, for example, does not by itself confirm that the company currently employs a certified HVAC Inspection, Maintenance and Restoration (VSMR) technician. GetLocalVerified closes that gap by verifying active, individual-level credentials — not just organizational memberships — before any provider appears in a city directory.

What distinguishes this site from lead-generation directories and aggregator platforms is the absence of paid placements. Providers cannot purchase higher rankings, featured listings, or badge upgrades. The verification status shown on each listing reflects only what the primary certification authority confirms at the time of our most recent review. Listings that cannot be verified are flagged or removed. The editorial team reviews each city directory on a rolling monthly schedule.

The directory currently covers 166 city directories across 7 service categories, spanning most major US metros and a growing number of mid-size markets. Coverage is expanding steadily, with new cities added each month based on reader demand and the availability of a sufficient number of verifiable providers in a given market.

Service Directory

Each city directory is produced through a standardized verification process. The editorial team sources provider names from public certification registries, cross-references business identity through state licensing databases and the Better Business Bureau, and applies a consistent set of fraud-signal checks before publishing. Providers that pass verification receive a structured listing; those with unresolved discrepancies are excluded or flagged.

Directories are reviewed on a rolling monthly schedule. If you believe a listing contains an error, use the corrections page to submit a report. For a full explanation of how verification works across each service category, see the methodology page.
